Talking Fried Green Tomatoes!!

look in produce markets for true green maters.

heat up heavy frying pan with olive oil and pressed cloves of fresh garlic.

don't let the garlic burn.

slice the maters real thick. about an inch or so thick.
don't worry about cutting core out. not important.

saute green maters in olive oil and garlic. flip them a couple of times, making sure they all get some garlic drippings.
At 1 inch thick, figure about 5-7 minutes per side.
don't let them overcook.
put on dish, season with sea salt, fresh ground pepper, and a sprinkle of parmesean cheese.

shhhhhh!!!!!! we can all hear you!!!

I tried my first FGTs at a food fest this summer. I never thought I'd go for them, but they were A+++.

mozzarella cheese is just as good on these.
tomatoes are coming into florida markets, now.
