The CATCH is that the companies making the products, whether in the US (where MOST of the products start) or Canada, do not want to spend yet more THOUSANDS of dollars in revamping their labels AGAIN or RENAMING the product (more new labels) or not being allowed to market the carb count in any way.
Instead, many either won't bother investing in making the product at all (in Canada) or they simply won't ship to Canada (for US products) because they won't get past the Customs stations.
Meaning Canadians will have fewer choices. Period.
