I lost 1.8 of the 2 lbs I was up yesterday. Doing the see-saw thing here big time. I also noticed that TOM started this morning, so I dearly hope it allows me to get back to my low again before the end of the month.

BARB - it looks like you will take this game! The rest of us are all in a state of flux.

CHRISSIE - I do hope you are feeling better! You seem to be totally bushed!

KATHY - I hope you survived work and can break through with another big whoosh!

HIMI - How are you doing?

CRICKET - I purchased the pdf version of The Carb Nite Solution and I will be studying it today. So far, it seems to make a lot of sense, and perhaps this is something I can do to force my body back into a losing mode. As far as the choice of carbs for a CN, it doesn't matter at all which types I consume, as my BS will skyrocket whether it is sugar or rice. I react the same toward any high level of carbs, regardless of the source. I need to discuss this with my doc to see how she suggests handling the spikes. I know I will need insulin. Otherwise, I would have no way to get the spikes down again and my body would need days to get back to normal without it. The BS would stay at dangerous levels for too long. Sigh. Being a diabetic really complicates things. I will be speaking to her tomorrow.

I am going to join your new discussion thread this morning and introduce myself there.

Other than all that, I am going to enjoy my Valentine's Day with my Valentine today. Stay home and cuddle and all that stuff. I hope the rest of us have a wonderful day! With losses and lots of cuddling!

Chrissie thanks for fixing my chart i'm not sure how I copied the wrong one...lack of sleep probably ha ha...I hope you're rewarded with a loss this morning.

Cricket i'm so glad this new program is working for you. Aaaah sweet Carl...tell him Chris and I said 'Hi'

Paulette whoo hoo on the loss...I expected TOM today too but not so far...I have gone from ever 24 days like clockwork to skipping a month and now i'm at 32 days so far with no TOM...I'm waking up hot while sleeping with a fan but not sweating...my doctor says this is the beginning of perimenopause...they won't take out my girly parts now since I don't have cysts or anything because they don't want my myasthenia gravis to come out of remission due to surgery stress...i'll just deal I guess and wait for menopause to occur naturally. I'm just glad you are a candidate though and hopefully it will help with your weight loss efforts.

GM TO MY GF(s) PAULETTIE>>> I hope between you and your doc you will come up with a reasonable solution. I am sorry to say that my knowledge of diabetes is no longer near where it was many years ago. Endocrine system needs to be reviewed by me! Will be happy to see you on the CNS board
I know the PDF, according to one of the girls that downloaded it only covered 56 pages and nt the entire thing. LIANNE is great at sticking up direct page links so maybe she can help with specific areas in the book..hope so.

TOday I am cruising in a white 1960 convertible caddie my total loss for the game is 7.2.. and lots of inches.. hope this lasts!!

CHRISSIE - Congrats on getting back to square!!! It is also sub-zero here. But SUNNY! I don't plan on going out into it, though.

CRICKET - I went to the Carb Nite website and purchased the pdf of the book using my PayPal account. It is the official entire book, which I legally purchased through the author's site. (Not the free preview pdf). I was able to download the pdf directly from his site after purchase, and I also have access to his site with all blogs, etc. It cost me $27.

I am really impressed with your sudden results, Crick. I only hope that my experience can be helpful for me, too. When I talk to my doc about this tomorrow, she will let me know what I should do. I will be monitoring my BS very carefully. I will need to know exactly how many carbs I plan on having so I can administer the correct amount of insulin.

I hope she does not start giving me any flack! I really need to do something different! I am so unsatisfied with my results this past year. I came to a complete standstill and I find it unacceptable. To not see any results after months of hard work and careful control is very demoralizing. I will give this plan a month, and if I see no improvement, I will go back to regular Atkins like I have been following. If, on the other hand, I DO see results, I will be ecstatic and will continue for the suggested 6 months.

CHRISSIE>>> we doubl;ed on the post! Happy you are back to at least square ONE!!! Better than the gain which was all water anyway THE PDF of THE CARB NITE SOLUTION is not the entire book but 56 pages as per one of the ladies that had done that. Now has the book... it is worth the pdf to see what this is about. When CHELLE kept telling me to just get the book since it does a good job of explaining things, it was hard for me to understand.. after all, LC is LC right?? NOT SO.. it seems like ATKINS to a lrge degree but is goes a lot further.

IT is in the 30's today and THAT IOS TOO COLD! SUPPOSED to get to 70.. well, that sun had bettter get a lot closer to this earth for THAT to happen soon!

Now for a sad decision but OK with it update. We have kept the little guys retricked to my bedroom, restricked to the patio and restrickted to the outdoor dog pen ( they hate the cage).. and LExus has been restricked to the dog run in front or at night in the living room. This entire time we panickes at the thought of one of little guys running out the door and being seen by Lexus..well, Jodi and her friend were due to be here and I did have the little guys on the loose for a few minutes... they had been avoiding the area that Lexus could get to.. they ran in the front as was OK but BABY wanted to come in the house so she ran onto the front porch where Lexus was.. I tried to get BABY off the porch but Lexus attacked for no reason and was so violent. I HAVE NO CLUE how BABY survived with no puntures that bles and survived. She was grabbed and shaken so badly. I could not easily get Lexus todrop her and I had her by the cable.. she let go and did back away with the help of me pulling her away.. now for the part had makes this choice a no brainer.. she sat there staring me in the eyes and kept growling at ME.. for quite a long time while I had to stand my ground. It was not a good scene. I did win that one. Took her and the cable to the dog pen, used the chain that was there and double tied her with the steel cable inside the pen..tied short enough to keep Bonnie Bunnie out of harm's way. I call the vet in the morning and will bring her in ASAP. It no way to have pets... each one was confined and restricted and very unhappy and still not safe no matter how we tried. I am fine with this decision and just thankful that the act of allowing the little ones to have some free time did end in death. Lexus will at some point do the same attack on a person .. if a child were here..and thought she was ALPHA.. that would a disasterous situation. My grand kids are coming in May and this is not a worry I want.. CANNOT keep her chained for years either..not going to put any life in jeapardy because she has changed and become so much a bully. SAD and I am far from happy. It hurts deeply on one level but I have come to terms with this.

POLLIE>>>> GREAT on that purchase!!! Mine was the same price in paper back... now there is a newer version >> OF COURSE... and he now states that it is OK to stay on this.. and I would since it seems to be the same to me as I did with maintaining the loss years ago.
WOW.. to figure out carbs in advance.. there iwll be HUNDREDS of them!!! At least the way I am going to do it if i can manage it... I doubt it but all the foods I want seem high huge and outrageous carbs so hundreds is going to easy..
WE doubled ...There is a FB group as well with many success stories.. so Cheele tells me.. you know how miserable I have it on the Internet...so I have not gone there. I HOPE to get more of us here and have an active group. ALREADY one person was just so negative with not even reading more than 2 paragraphs... close minded... look at how many are against the LC plans!! Have to be open to see how this works for others!
I am sure you will do well! I guess youwill deal with the increased BS in the morning on the good old sliding scale... IS that possible to not have the medication until morning??? That would be good... lets the insuline get the hormoes in there and then you get the bs down and the hormones are still there... does that sound plausable? Like i said it has been too many years since i worked with these issues.

CRICKET - I am horrified by what you told us about Lexus and poor Baby! I feel so bad for you. But you are making the right decision. The dog has become a danger. I hope all sets well for you and handle it well.

Thank you Paulette. I was determined to save them all. After that brutal attack and her standing up to me I knew in my heart and mind that she had to leave. I will always be unhappy about the it but at peace with it as being the best and correct thing. She is chained inside the pen.Unahppy and alone and that is not a life.
Still have a cought but i am determined to get to the pool in the morning. I will call the vet when i get back.
Jodi bought stuff to do gel nails so it ladies night here!
I had WF choc sauce with a bit of HC to make a mousse.. added a few strawberries and made quite a nice almost no carb dessert with great fat!
