Hi Y'all,
Doc says it is definitely an allergic reaction, no drainage from eyes, and eyes look fine, which would not be happening if it was an infection. Gave me a shot. If that doesn't clear up the swelling; she gave me a back up RX of prednisone. She did say the steroids will cause my sugar reading to go up, but not to worry about it, since I'm a controlled diabetic (Was nice hearing that, after being so long out-of-control.
). I'm just glad she thinks it is an allergic reaction. Now just gotta figure out the cause, and have it cleared up by next Saturday.
Cricket: Sorry you are up for the week, but not by much, I know this coming week will be better. Also sorry about the rain soaked fair, we are getting it too. I despise rainy weather...it is depressing.
I have taken only one supplement, in my adult life, and it was for iron. I used to give blood all the time. About 5 years age they started denying me, saying I was anemic.
So my PC told me to start taking the iron pills. 3 years ago, when the 15 doctors were trying to figure out what was causing my body to go so out of whack, my neurologist ran a panel of tests, which include checking for iron levels, ferritins, B vitamin deficiency etc.
Here is the ironic part: Not only was I not anemic, I was just the opposite. I have hemochromatosis. Which in layman terms means my body doesn't get rid of iron, if not caught in time, the iron goes after your internal organs, starting with the liver, and your joints, plus a lot of other bad things can happen. My ferritin level is supposed to be between 12-150, it was over 1500, It is ranging now between 300-500 still too high but not dangerously high. I have to have regular Phlebotomy's, to keep it under control. My outrageous heavy TOM's in the last years helped as a natural phlebotomy, but now I don't have those.
Well now y'all know more about me than you ever wanted or needed
to.
I am under regular care with blood tests etc, so if any problems start up for deficiencies, I'm sure it will be caught.
Kathy: Thank you. I know you will be right back on track again this coming week, so sorry for the gain.
Paulette: This FB game between your Packers and my Panthers, like to have gave me a heart attack!!
No, I don't take even Vitamin C. If I ever start showing signs of a deficiency, I will though. Right now, I'm good.
And my mom being over the top...that's putting it mildly.
So sorry you are up again...I think you just have to wait on your body to react the way it is supposed to. You are doing everything right, it is the hormones causing all this water retention. The only thing you can do is stay on plan, look how far you have come, and realize that it is a whole lot better being over 100 lbs down, than what you would have been had you not lost all that weight. Keep your head up, and yes, laugh.
Himi: Dang Himi you are up too? What is with this week? smh I'm hoping you go down next week.
Jodi: Looks like you took this week. Congratulations!
Barb: Hope you are having fun with your family!
Chrissie: Sorry you were up for the week, but you will be right back on track soon I know.
