Just a quick drive by. Had a lil whooshie of 1.2 down...now off to the Urgent care.Right eye swelled completely shut, left eye more swollen than it has been. Praying it is an allergic reaction, or if its an infection it hasn't spread to the back of my eye. BBL.

CRICKY - I chopped up 1/2 a stalk of celery and 2 radishes into my tuna today, along with a hard boiled egg, so I have a couple carbs in there. I am also thawing out a chicken leg quarter for tonight. I may even have a little broccoli with that, rather than the soup. A baked chicken leg and a little broccoli sounds better. And I like crispy skin. So I figure my carbs will be 8-10, depending on how much broccoli I decide to have tonight. I am trying to keep my carbs to no more than 10. They used to be no more than 5. A measly extra 5 carbs does not effect my ketosis at all. It still gives me purple when I test, so I am learning not to be such a carba-phobic person. I always count my carbs from eggs and cream, too. A carb is a carb.

Pablo is doing great! He is always grumpy and flares at me and his food. Little Species 2.0 is a Ghost Shrimp, and I was just reading that they may turn white before molting. He is so much bigger and I'm sure he is growing fast. He looks to be about 1/4" long now! But I will keep you in the know if he suddenly disappears.....

Congrats on your little loss, -0.2 is so much better than -6.8!

TAM - congrats on your loss! And I sure do hope the doctor can help you with your poor eyes!!!!! Your vacation is so near and I hate to think you will suffer with eye problems during it! May it be something easily cleared with a few drops!!!!!

Well, Ed is off to watch the game at the bar. I do not want to go. I am going to watch ghost movies and try to take a nice long nap. And I hope to see a LOSS tomorrow!!!!!!!! I hope. I don't expect it, but I hope. You all have a great Sunday!

TAM~~~ hope that the urgent care has an opthomologist there. Wish you the very easy diagnosis and results. IT is scary. SENDING you all good vibes dearheart!

PAULETTIE~~ I know you lookd for that dark purple..if you re read the chapter on the not losing... aside from the hormonal crap you go though with water retention and YOU DO HAVE THAT!...he does suggest going WAY up more than you are. You should try the upping as long as it does not intgerfere with your BS readings. That is more important than the color
Glad you are trying this. It is so more realistic to normal meals and more rounded in balance. You can try to do this every few days and see how you handle it. Remember that pink is as positive as purple!!! I still think that poor Species turned WHITE with fear from seeing his cousins get peeled and cooked

Went out to blanket the horses in the rain.. poor ponies were shaking. They are wet but at least they will not lose heat.

Looked for the Packer's game but not broadcasted here..CBS showing TN TITANS vs new Orleans SAINTS... or so it seems..GO SAINTS for the record between the 2 of them.

ON to the movies!

Another tiny blip up. So I too end this challenge with a GAIN.... we should build a treehouse for our gainers club eh Chrissie??!! pppphhhhhfftt!

I have noticed that all week I have had some tenderness "up top"--- so I KNOW at least my 'girls' are holding on to water!! I wonder how many pounds each?

Paulette I am watching the Packers game... not going so well for them so far, but they arent out of it yet!

Oh Tam I hope you can solve the puffy eyes mystery-- and its something simple. Yay for the whooshie!

Cricket I am going to take your advice and look back over old daily food records, as far as things which might trigger appetite. Might be helpful-- interesting, regardless.

Hi Y'all,

Doc says it is definitely an allergic reaction, no drainage from eyes, and eyes look fine, which would not be happening if it was an infection. Gave me a shot. If that doesn't clear up the swelling; she gave me a back up RX of prednisone. She did say the steroids will cause my sugar reading to go up, but not to worry about it, since I'm a controlled diabetic (Was nice hearing that, after being so long out-of-control. ). I'm just glad she thinks it is an allergic reaction. Now just gotta figure out the cause, and have it cleared up by next Saturday.

Cricket: Sorry you are up for the week, but not by much, I know this coming week will be better. Also sorry about the rain soaked fair, we are getting it too. I despise rainy weather...it is depressing.
I have taken only one supplement, in my adult life, and it was for iron. I used to give blood all the time. About 5 years age they started denying me, saying I was anemic.
So my PC told me to start taking the iron pills. 3 years ago, when the 15 doctors were trying to figure out what was causing my body to go so out of whack, my neurologist ran a panel of tests, which include checking for iron levels, ferritins, B vitamin deficiency etc.
Here is the ironic part: Not only was I not anemic, I was just the opposite. I have hemochromatosis. Which in layman terms means my body doesn't get rid of iron, if not caught in time, the iron goes after your internal organs, starting with the liver, and your joints, plus a lot of other bad things can happen. My ferritin level is supposed to be between 12-150, it was over 1500, It is ranging now between 300-500 still too high but not dangerously high. I have to have regular Phlebotomy's, to keep it under control. My outrageous heavy TOM's in the last years helped as a natural phlebotomy, but now I don't have those.
Well now y'all know more about me than you ever wanted or needed
to.
I am under regular care with blood tests etc, so if any problems start up for deficiencies, I'm sure it will be caught.

Kathy: Thank you. I know you will be right back on track again this coming week, so sorry for the gain.

Paulette: This FB game between your Packers and my Panthers, like to have gave me a heart attack!!
No, I don't take even Vitamin C. If I ever start showing signs of a deficiency, I will though. Right now, I'm good. And my mom being over the top...that's putting it mildly.
So sorry you are up again...I think you just have to wait on your body to react the way it is supposed to. You are doing everything right, it is the hormones causing all this water retention. The only thing you can do is stay on plan, look how far you have come, and realize that it is a whole lot better being over 100 lbs down, than what you would have been had you not lost all that weight. Keep your head up, and yes, laugh.

Himi: Dang Himi you are up too? What is with this week? smh I'm hoping you go down next week.

Jodi: Looks like you took this week. Congratulations!

Barb: Hope you are having fun with your family!

Chrissie: Sorry you were up for the week, but you will be right back on track soon I know.

Hi HIMIKINS Hmm... touchy ta-tas? Not pregnant I hope not laughing! well maybe a chuckle Just a blip of water is a piddle! one pound a lake and sink the titanic belongs to PAULETTE.. Maybe if we all fly over her house and threaten that water balloon with a hat pin she'll pop>>SHHH do not want POLLIEPIE to know our plans ( hehehehe)..I think you will find some answers in the older menus that you were the most productive on. Sometimes all it is, is a simple item added or omitted.

TAM>>>THAT was not little whooshie!! It was a great MISS WHOOSHIE VISIT! she had a cup of tea at your house LOL. EYE:.so now you have what I thought you needed before..... steroids. The medrol dose pak was RX? It will work perfectly. I'm certain The injection was also a steroid to get it under control. If it itches , add Benadryl. I believe when you are away from the contaminated item you will be fine. Sea air is the BEST! Go get some NO MORE TEARS JOHNSON & JOHNSON BABY SHAMPOO and take a drop onto your index finger..close eyes and then gently rub the lid and lashes.. rise well, pat dry. It can be done morning and night and even inbetween as you might feel need. It will help what you have and also.. if you are prone to styes, it will take care of that too I am ALWAYS thrilled to hear when a person is closely followed by hemotolgy. I do not think that the standard chem profiles are adequate. The other tests are required to show cause to get covered, so GREAT FOR YOU!
I'll never forget the first time I requested from my Internist to order D levels on me. He was surprised. Had to actually explain the reason. SO since that time I guess he did some homework and now orders that for all his female clients. He does a broader scope of labs for me since I can qualify for so many issues! Not sure if I am happy about that reason LOL..

PAULETTIE~~~ better run! I read somewhere that a team of crazed low carbers are heading your way to pop you with a hat pin!!! :

Figures that NOW my ring is loose! By morning it will be stuck again. Gotta tell you that I REALLY REALLY REALLY PRAY the tanks flush tonight. I have not taken my MOTILITY supplements or pills yet and should.Talk about a crap shoot UG>> SORRY

IF anyone here likes WILL FARREL.. you will LAUGH at STEP BROTHERS.. warning.. it is really cras and raw at times but a hoot. Not too easily bothered by language or visuals here

I'll stop back later to make the new game chart. Please do correct and update your new totals using today's weights 11/8/15 is the date for that area...
BBL

still raining and still no royal flush

AMERICAN SNIPER was really GOOD. YES, the ending was a surprise but not quite..I cannot imagine what the controversy would be about this movie. SEEMS to me that everyone did what needed to be done for the right reasons.
