How are you doing with your weight loss and symptoms now? Is Atkins helping? What else are you doing to treat it?

I take birth control to help with the missed periods. Atkins helps me lose weight where other plans made me not lose or just gain, such as low cal, low fat, and vegetarian. None of those helped me. Atkins seems to be helping VERY much.

Sorry for the diagnosis. I've had it for years and it took a dermatologist to really press for the tests.

All I have is the low carb diet. I've had a hysterectomy but have my ovaries. As I have a heart condition, my doctor's really dont' want any more medication and as I lose all symptoms are diminishing.

I did get pretty hairy though! Laser therapy is AMAZING and worth every penny and moment if you have problems.

What was it that finally had them test you?

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I was diagnosed about 14 years ago and in my case, diet and exercise seemed to control most symptoms for many years and then I gained weight and became insulin resistant and am on medication that will only work optimally if I eat LC, definitely glad there is a board here, also! How are you doing now?
