Hey Bonnie

Was a scorcher here too today, which made for a nice change, spring was a long time coming. Today looked like we bypassed it completely and zoomed right into summer.

So you're a motorcycle momma eh....what kind of bike? How far do you tour on it?

I don't have one myself, too chicken and too fat still but even when I get thinner, I'd prefer 4 wheels but wouldn't mind a convertible. My sister in law won a 50th anniversary TBird, fire engine red with the black top, purrty little car for sure.

I'll be driving through Freddy on Friday, will wave from the highway, feel the good Karma going your way.

Hi, a Nova Scotian here Born and raised. (Though I spent 8 years in Ottawa until December when we moved back)

Yesterday was certainly warm, we spent a bit of the afternoon with the kids walking along the beach which helped a bit.

Hi Jess, just have a look in my gallery, my pic is there.

I don't think I've seen you before but then again, I see alot of people in the run of a day, I work at the Regional and have for more than 20 years, no doubt there's someone we both know.

I'm going to be away from the computer until next Sunday when I return to good ol' SJ.

Take care and keep on fighting the good fight.

Hi I live in Moncton actually Riverview but was born and grew up in Halifax.I find there are so many LC products on the market that we may all gain weight by overeating all th
ese and not natural foods.Superstore has
Carb Options dressings,sauces,jams,etc.
They have Aitkens flatbreads and multi grain bread
Lc candy
LC ice cream
LC peanut butter
What more could anyone want.It is a temptation to eat these but i try to stay away from most but it is nice to have a choice.Nice to talk to fellow Maritimers. We should have a meeting sometime.

Hi all,

Originally from PEI, but I've been living in Toronto for the last 16 years (dear God has it already been that long). I still consider PEI to be "home" and don't expect that to change no matter how long I'm away. I did split time between Halifax and Toronto for 2 years (98-2000). Really liked Halifax. Has everything a bigger city has, just on a smaller scale and way friendlier people. Went to university in NB (Sackville), so I know that area fairly well.

Glad to see so many East Coasters getting into low carb. Now if I can only convince my parents to give up their potatos . I go home every summer for a few weeks. Flying in on June 23rd to July 4th and am really looking forward to it.

One thing I've noticed every time I visit is that everything is deep fried. Fish?? Let's cover it in batter and deep fry it. Pretty scarey.

Anyway take care all.

Hey Jess

I don't know who we know in common, you'd mentioned that your BF worked at SC and that's why I asked if he was the tall dark haired guy with the good memory for drinks ladies like, we'd gone there once and several weeks later when we returned he looked at me and said "Strawberry Daiquiri"? I was impressed anyone would remember that or me, was quite flattered hehe.

What do you have planned for the summer now that your out of school, going to be a lady of leisure or do you have a summer job?

Sure hope the weather warms up a bit, it's been mighty dismal around here, with the wind and fall like temps.

Take care

Hiya Mike

Welcome aboard the HMS Maritimer.

Speaking of lobster, that's what we're having for dinner tonight, DH just went to pick up a coupla 4 pounders ~ $7.75 per lb. He'll cook them himself as he's real fussy about how that's done. Another couple is joining us for dinner, the boys will be having home made fries (made with NB potatoes - the best)...I am bound to say that, my brothers in law are potato growers.

They mentioned to me that there are some growers on PEI who are trying to produce a lower carb potato, that sounds interesting to say the least, hope they succeed and share their secret.

You're doing really well with this WOE, great work.

That is a great price for lobster. I see them here where I live (Hamilton Ontario) for as high as $16.99 a pound in some stores which makes it too pricey for me to indulge.

I often consider moving down east just to be able to enjoy my love of seafood and fish more often. It was too bad my New Brunswick-born-and-raised-parents decided to live in Ontario to have and raise their children. I think we would have been better off in the maritimes.
