Arrow Starting again

OK. I started doing induction on Wednesday (when I went back to teaching). Wednesday went fine, but by midday Thursday I felt awful (headache, mostly, and I'm a big baby when it comes to those). I drank a caffinated diet soda and that helped a little. Friday I woke up with the headache and only made it to lunch before giving in and having some sugary stuff.

The weekend was hit and miss. The only way I've ever made it on a meal plan on the weekend is when I've had a great week and I have all of that positive momentum coming into Saturday.

So I'm starting fresh tomorrow morning. I've decided to allow myself one caffinated diet soda in the morning. I am simply too addicted to caffiene to give both sugar and caffiene up at the same time.

I am also prepared to feel kind of icky for a few days. I wasn't prepared before since I hadn't found this forum yet.

So, tomorrow is another day.

Wish me luck!

Tina

I'm wishing you luck, Tina! but are you sure you're drinking enough water? I had a hard time during induction with headaches & feeling dizzy & achy, & that was all down to being dehydrated. As soon as I started drinking a lot more, that all passed. I tried teaching too, though- are you sure it in't the 'little darlings' giving you the headache?! I also LOVE Harry Potter to bits! Did you see the movie or read the book or both?

Daisy

Lightbulb I'll try that

I actually planned water into my menu for today. I think part of my problem last week was that I left everything up in the air (sort of we'll see attitude). Today, I have already written down everything I will eat and drink. That way there are no questions. And I put in 64 ounces of water plus 8 for each 25 pounds I want to lose. A total of 96 ounces (that seems like an awful lot)

I'm sure the kids were part of my headache (although they were very good after coming back from vacation last week) but this was definitely a physical headache, not a frustration one

I've read all of the Harry Potter books and have seen the movie twice. I love the series.

Thanks for the encouragement

Tina

Smile Hi

The symptoms you discribed are classic to sugar withdrawal. I know, I had them for two weeks when I first started. Recently over a week ago, I restarted with Induction. This time I had no artificial sweetners and I my withdrawal symptoms went away in a few days. Give that a shot. Take Excedrin for the headaches, it worked for me.
