Default Prevent the Flu with Vitamin D3

Just a reminder for everyone to make sure they take adequate vitamin D3 this winter.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28114957

And PLEASE do not think you can take 1-2,000 IU/day and be protected. You need 5-10,000 IU/day during the winter to be protected.

The studies that discount or dispute D3's effect on enfluenza don't use a high enough dose...which is the point because the outcome sought IS to discourage use of D3 in high enough dosages to be effective.

Great advice, agree. I take 5,000 in the summer, 10,000 in winter and have rarely had even a cold in the past seven years. On a flight this week, the young man next to me took out his antibiotic wipes even before I did to clean the tray, arm rests, etc. I didn't feel so much the OCD old lady if even millenials are taking extra precautions this flu season.

Thanks Zule, I've only been taking 2000 but i'm in California so we have more sun. I haven't had the winter blues or any illness so I thought I was doing ok.

JEY I also am an OCD old lady. I carry hand santizer with me year around. Yesterday I was at the drs office and all people these were coughing and obviously sick so I waited in the hallway for my appointment.
