Hi Lexii! I live in Rockford, and actually just drove back through Yorkville tonight, on my way from Joliet back home to Rockford.
I lived in Plainfield til 2007 when I got married.
Spent time in Yorkville occasionally.
Nice to meetcha. I need to lose 50 pounds as well. (wow, that really sounds like a lot.)
in 2004 I lost 65 pounds, and have gained about 25 back...I need to lose that weight and 25 more.
I'll help you if you help me!
It's cool to know of someone in this area.
ps. We really got rained on through Dekalb tonight, scared me and my daughter to death. I think there was hail as well.
I too am around 184.
Are you going to start a journal?
Feel free to roam around in mine...
Sassie

I, too, am in Crest Hill, Illinois - it truly amazing that there are two of us here as Crest Hill is just about this () big!!!

I lost 60# when first starting the Atkins program (Hubby lost 95#). Then we went to the Maintenance phase and did well with that. Now we're trying to lose the remainder of our unwanted poundage. I have about 20-25# to lose. Hubby hasn't said how much he wants to lose but it's not very much.

We've been low-carbers for a little over six years and love it!!!

For me, the biggest challenge is exercising consistently. I'll go great for a while and then slack off. bummer...

I'll check in here in a couple of days to see if you all are still around. Stay safe and happy low-carbing!!!

So few Illinoisans here!

I'm out around Rockford, as well. Me, the hubby, 4 kids, a dog and a handful of goldfish (that I hope are still alive when I get home tomorrow!).

Howdy - I'm still here but life has been very busy around here with traveling and family stuff.

Doing OK, I guess, but exercising is still my greatest challenge!

See you all later. Stay safe and have a super-duper low-carb day!!!

So i'm almost half way, but at least june i want to reach my goal. my waist was a 40, i just got back from target and i'm a comfortable 36'' inch. 34'''s were a lil bit tight, but i'm happy with my progress.

Carleen... man after I came and announced I was in crest hill, I fell off the wagon and had just had a baby. He is a year and 2 months now and I started back up after finishing breastfeeding a few months ago.. I do not think low carb works while breatfeeding lol! I moved (bought a house in Joliet) but I am still right around the bend. We shoud go walking or something sometime. I know I ride my bike and walk about 4 times a week in my little neighborhood here.

Default Hello!

Just stopping by to let you all know I'm still amongst the living!

Exercising is still taking a hit from my lack of enthusiasm. A new month (June) is quickly approaching and I'm hoping I can get back into the groove by then. I still want to lose 30ish pounds and that's not going to happen by just wishing!!! Bummer!!!

Wishing everyone a successful low-carb day in sunny/hot Illinois!!!

Take your dog walking with you. After a few weeks the dog will start waking you up every morning to "encourage" you to accompany him on "his" morning stroll.
