Hi,
I`m new here and new to low carb diets, so I need all the help I can get....
I`ve already posted a message in the recipe section, not realising the "newcomer" section was here.
I seem to be a bit lost and I can`t find anyone from the UK, so if you`re out there I need help translating some of the recipes.............you don`t have to be from the UK of course.....if anyone out there can help.....

Jackie

Welcome aboard Jackie, glad you found us

I'm sure someone has the answer to those measuremnt questions and will provide it. We have a few members as well from the U.K. who would know about low-carb shopping in the U.K. Take a peak in our U.K. forum as well to see what other products they found already. And let us know what you find.

Hi there

I am form the UK as well, and allways struggled with the measurements and ingredients. I found a great site for translating those:
http://www.realfood4realpeople.com/faqs.html

It has a measurement and temperature conversion table and also helpful hints on substituting unavailabel items.

Hope this helps and good luck

Sabine

Hi All

Thanks for the warm wellcome. I only started the diet today, and so far it went well.

I am originally from Germany, but I am living in the UK now.

Any Germans here ??

Good luck to all of you

Sabine

Not yet If you find any, send them here. How popular are low-carb diets in Germany?

I am not sure how poular they are over there, as I haven't lived there for a long time, but any diet which restricts beer should be pretty unpopular (I am from bavaria) !

My dad used to go on a diet called "the Manager Diet" which was basically low carb, but not quite as extreme as Atkins, and he never stuck to it for long.
