Hi Warriors, What a beautiful day today.

I tried walking my old path today. Didn't do too badly, but Going uphill was a problem. My right hip kept locking up.

Stayed OP today, will not accept anything less. As a point of interest, the last time I consumed too many carbs, my heart started pounding, and I started having panic attacks.

I haven't done that in several weeks thank goodness. I don't think I will ever be able to increase my carb intake, it's a good thing the body can make it's own carbs if they need them.

It's late for the people in the East because it is after 8 here, hope everyone's evening was good.

Blessings and Peace;

DD and I have officially started our summer fun! Went to the library, got her ears pierced, grocery shopping, car tune-up, SHE baked chocolate butterscotch banana muffins (I'd be lying if I said they don't smell INSANELY delicious... but none for me. ) AND, we made a giant fort in the living room with all the couches' cushions! FUN!!!
Way to STAY 100% OP w/o indulging in the INSANELY delish smelling muffins!

Sounds like you and your DD kicked off summer break in a FUN-tastic way!

Always my pleasure, Jams! Support is really important b/c not many people understand the trials and tribulations of what we're going thru except those of us experiencing it!

WOW that's a scary reaction to eating too many carbs!

Huge Congrats on STAYING 100% OP!

I'm über carb sensitive too, so I keep mine to Induction Level amounts. I have around 5 grams or less a day.

Yep our body does indeed make its own carbs! It creates glucose, or sugar carbs, out of the breakdown of proteins in the liver.

The human body is so resourceful and that's why we can be perfectly healthy and thinner by staying ultra low carb, no matter what the naysayers say!

I started on the Atkins diet where you have to eat 12-15 grams of carbs from veggies. I found it nearly impossible to do without suffering severe gastric distress. Also my weight loss was painfully slow. I prefer the Atkins 72 woe although sometimes I do have an Atkins bar or shake.

How do I get there guys? How do I change my mind to accept that carbs are POISON to my body? Went on vacation and went off plan for six days. I'm back on LCHF, but still striving to stay faithful to this WOE.

Any suggestions on how to retrain my brain. Four months into LCHF I still crave carbs.
