Default You would have been proud

I just came from a little family gathering at my parents' house. They ordered 6 pizzas with various toppings and there were Linzar Tarts (I love them) for dessert. I ate a salad. It was so hard. I was planning on eating before going but I ran out of time. I'm going to have steak in a few minutes.

This Sunday is going to be even more difficult. I am going to my brother's gf's baby shower. It is a Jack and Jill shower, and is going to be huge with sooooo much food, desserts, and sweets. I know sausage and peppers is on the menu so I'm going to have that. I've been hearing about 4 trays of lasagna, 15 pounds of meatballs, candy, 2 6 foot subs and God knows what else. I plan on staying on track.

Please send positive vibes my way on Sunday!

You're fabulous. Keep up the great work.

My Mother made meatballs and spaghetti the other day, and then realised, horrified, what she had done (bless her, she's set in her ways, but totally supportive!) and scraped the tomato sauce off the meatballs for me, and made a grilled red pepper and onion salad, just for me. The meatballs were delicious (no carbs in them at all!) and the pepper salad was tasted by others, who all wished they could have some!

I have come to the level that I can look at carbs and go "ugh!" but if others love 'em, well, okay....

It's a lifestyle change that could save our lives, and I think that view is what helped me progress.

Keep strong, we love you!

I made it through the baby shower. It was a beautiful Jack and Jill shower with so much food and treats. It was very tempting. I love cake and the cake looked so good. I had sausage and peppers and a salad.

I cringe looking at pictures of myself there. I can't wait to get this weight off.
