Does anyone know where to find flaxseed meal in Vancouver? I know Bob's Red Mill makes it, but even those places that carry Bob's red mill products don't seem to have the meal....
Help!
Thanks!

Hi Momo,

Welcome to our forum. I often find it at IGA in Vancouver. The one I go is on west broadway near cypress street. I've seen them at Capers on Robson, Choices market and Gallaways I think. Check our shopping section under "BC" and you'll find more addresses.

You can also use whole flax seeds in a coffee grinder to get flax meal.

Out of interest, where do you purchase soy protein? (if you do...)
Thanks! :c)

Yes, I use soy protein frequently (for my tortilla/wrap recipe). I get it from Capers, and from the Granville market. Gallaway has it too, I think. Nutrition stores have packaged soy protein as well, but tend to be more expensive. If you find additional sources, please fill the shopping form to add those entries to our list.

Hi Momo:

Welcome to the group!

Look in the refrigerator section for flax seed and flax seed meal. It goes rancid quickly so this is where it is usually kept.
