Hello everyone I have been on the Adkins diet on and off for at less a year and a half. All together I have lost 100 + pounds. When I started I weight 360 pounds and went down to 185 pounds. Now I'm at 200 pounds . My problems is when I first stared the diet a guy told me I could only eat all beef hotdogs, skinless chicken, cottage cheese, sugarless jello and any lean meat that's it. I lost weight fast. He never said I could have green vegs. now I want to start again and I don't know what to eat could someone please tell me the basics
P.S can I have roasted peanuts
Oh and can you have beer?????
As quickly as possible, get and read Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution and Protein Power by the Eades. Low carbing is supposed to be a lifestyle that you can live with for the rest of your life. Eating what your eating will only make you want to eat carbs!
This is an example of how dangerous doing low-carb without doing any research can be. Don't go by what other people tell you low-carb is. Do some research and come to an informed conclusion.
Don't eat peanuts and especially do not drink beer until you read the books.
Yep, knowledge is your best bet for success. Lowcarbing is more than just a two week meal plan you go off again, it's a lifestyle change for sure. Best of luck to you, and keep us posted of your lowcarbing success.
Thanks, Doreen for your support. I went to Wal-Mart today to buy the book and no luck. But first I tried buying a us copy of the site in the book section but all the under $3 where sold out if I go any higher I should buy the book new. I'm on a budget these days it's getting close for me to start my Christmas shopping, but anyway I will go to the book store today and start my LC diet on Monday. I go to the grocery store on Sundays after Church.
