Seeing is Believing and it's Hard to Believe What Inspectors See!

A mouse swimming in the marinade.
Flies in the slaw.
French fries stored in the garbage.
These things really happened – and now you can see them!

Healthinspections.com videos show it all...putting you 'on the beat' with America's kitchen cops. From photos of actual violations to interviews with health inspectors, you'll be amazed by what you see happening in your favorite restaurants. So, view the videos - seeing is believing!

The first video appears to be a series of dramatic recreations - notice how they're all in the same kitchen?

Gross, anyway. I think my little brother may be put off of fast food for a few minutes now. XD

Sounds like an argument for home-cooked meals to ME.

One of my freshman profs had a brother who was a health department inspector. The guy told a story, don't know if it was true, about his brother going in to inspect Antoine's in New Orleans to find a cat sleeping in a basket of baguettes. When asked about it they supposedly said the cat keeps mice out of the kitchen.

As it was a New Orleans restaurant story I really didn't have too much trouble believing it.

Welcome to the world of sanitary inspections and audits.

It's a doozy.

And to think it's not just restaurants; ALL establishments that prepare, process and/or package food.

The funny thing was the cats in the Thai restaurant. In a lot of asian restaurants the cats would be a secret added protein ingredient. At least those were pets!
