Hello Everyone! And Welcome s93uv3h! (surely you must have a different name )

It is so nice to see a new A72-er join us. I was doing induction for over a year, I think, but now I have stepped up and include some dairy and some vegetables. I have never done bullet proof coffee, though. I much prefer cream. But I have even changed that! I now use almond milk, just because I need to lower calories and up my calcium. It took a while to get used to it, but I did. Now I don't seem to mind it at all. But I still prefer cream. Once in a while I treat myself.

I have come to the realization that a keto diet does not necessarily need a ton of fat in it to maintain your ketosis. Just a lack of carbs. I used to worry about macros, too, but now I don't. My ketosis is always there, so I know I am in the fat burning mode. And I am doing fine.

I am not going to weigh myself until my feet return to normal. They are still swollen. I am going to watch the sodium level for a few days and hopefully my H2O retention will ease up. I think this is because I have not been able to get up and about with my gardening for a couple days now. I am far too busy with work, sitting in front of this damnable computer!

Today will be a tuna salad for lunch! Maybe even for dinner, too!

So I better get back to work now. You all have a great day!

Hello,

Back from my trip!

We took a short trip to AZ. We stayed in Williams & went to the Grand Canyon and to Sedona. Beautiful scenery!

We stayed in a hotel, so had to eat out all the time. I went with bunless burgers and salads. We had egg and either sausage or Canadian bacon at the hotel.

It was hot (around 80) and I got a little sunburnt. We did a lot of walking, now my knee hurts, but it wasn’t a huge problem. The dogs went along, they are good travelers and did great, as usual. We poured water on them to keep cool, which they didn’t like too much! They got filthy and we had to give them a bath at the hotel. We think that’s the dirtiest they’ve EVER been.

How’s everyone? Doesn’t look like much posting while I was gone ☹️

Hello Everyone!

I guess everyone is busy. I know I was! A lot of work, plus it was my Aunt's birthday the other day and I went to stay at her house. She's the closest thing to my long lost Mom.

My sweetie is also having his birthday tomorrow! And it is also Mother's Day. AND Ed's Mom's birthday is today! And my Mom's 2nd anniversary of her passing is next week. AND this is my bi-monthly coupon mailer project! So May is action packed and stressful for me.

But, amidst all this, I have a weight loss to report... I am now 201.8 lbs. My lowest low since I started my weight loss journey. Onederland is right around the corner now, and I am optimistic that I will reach that goal by my Mom's birthday on June 5th.

I have a ton of gardening work to do and I must finish my client's project this morning so I can get outside and relish the earth and sky.

You all have a great weekend and a Happy Mother's Day! Pet Mom's are Moms, too, you know!

I am also coming to see that point myself. The human body is an amazing collection of processes all searching for homeostasis. A fascinating subject.

Hello Everyone and HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! Especially to all our loving Moms who have passed. May all Moms be blessed.

OK guys, get ready.....(drumroll)....

TODAY I HAVE REACHED ONDERLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!
(band playing fanfare in background)

And now, for the first time ever, I actually weigh less than my boyfriend Eddy! Isn't that funny?

-----------------

On a more serious note,

Bernie - I did not know about your brother as I was away from this site last year. I am so sorry! I hope he is at peace.

------------------

Today will be sunny and 68˚. I have daylilies to plant and a lounge that is calling my name! I have no work today, and it is Ed's birthday, so he is out doing the Harley thing with his friends today. I have the whole day to myself.

I am going to have shrimp for lunch today! I have no more leaves for a salad, so I am going to eat shrimp and make some homemade shrimp sauce with my sugar free ketchup and horseradish. I do not know what I want for dinner. I may take out a container of my chicken soup to thaw.

You all have a great day today! Celebrate the little things!

It’s Tuesday!

Yesterday was gym day. 90 minutes on resistance/ weight machines. I ate just once yesterday, which was good. My knee feels better now and I was okay to work out completely!

Today is my DGD day. I guess she wore herself out and is taking a nap! That hasn’t happened in a long time. We will go to pick up her brother from school in about an hour or so. I set up the kiddie pool for her this morning and she had fun. I bought her a bathing suit to wear at my house.

I hope you all are having a terrific Tuesday!

Hello Everyone! Thanks for the congrats!

I have not weighed in since Onederland day because I will be annoyed if it has crept up. My feet are swollen and I know what that means.

But all else has been great. The weather is gorgeous this time of year. I am all prepared to set up my pool, but must wait until it starts getting hot out. My flowers are almost all set up in their spaces - only some porch pots to be finished. The landscaping I did looks great. Ed has most of the vegetable garden planted. Just waiting for the little watermelon sprouts to be big enough to transplant!

This has been a good year for me. I have my emotions under control. No anxiety attacks any more. My Mom Thoughts have calmed down. I am able to concentrate on ME now. Reaching Onederland has done a lot to lift the burden from my soul. My goal seems attainable now. Just think, only 25 lbs left to go!!!!! Mom would be so proud.

It is great to hear how all of you are doing. May more victories come our way, wether in weight loss, weight maintenance, or winnings at the casino!

Today I had 3 turkey meatballs with a tad of sauce for lunch. In a while I am going to make a Spinach Feta Salmon Patty for dinner. That sounds so awesome. But I must run to the store to get more almond milk and salad greens now, so I will check back in tomorrow.

Have a great night everyone!

Paulette,

I’m so glad you’re in a better place this year and you can concentrate on YOU, cause you’re worth it!

I had chicken breast at lunchtime with a little spinach side salad, then a burger patty for my second meal.

I think tomorrow will be a tuna day, I’ve been wanting some tuna, but needed to eat the chicken and burger first. I need to get some grocery shopping done.

It was a nice 82 today. Enjoying this weather.
