Question Stevia vs. Splenda

Stevia is SOOOO expensive and seems to me to leave a very bitter aftertaste, even when I only use a drop or two. (I can easily limit my Stevia intake!)

Has anyone found that using Splenda works with the program? It isn't specifically forbidden, but that may just be because it wasn't around when the book was written. It is chemically altered. I don't want to sabotage myself by using Splenda, but just a bit of it (maybe a pack or two a day) would greatly improve my enjoyment of foods like oatmeal and decaf coffee with cream.

Perhaps honey would be a better choice (counting the carbs, of course)?

I would welcome some guidance.

Thanks,
Trudy

Only you know what works for you! I use Splenda for baking all the time (cheesecake etc.) but I haven't exactly been following SP 100%. My suggestion is to try it, and if your weight loss stalls, you gain inches or you don't feel great and energetic then stop using it! These are all signs that your body just doesn't like it.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out...

Lisa
