Mayo
Are you using a low-fat Mayo or a regular Mayo?
CALP book page 221 talks about mayonnaise. It tells us to not use "low-fat" varieties because they often contain sugars in place of the fat that has been removed.
The CALP book goes on to suggest turning your regular mayo into a lower fat alternative by adding a little water. It says by adding water, a little at a time and mixing well, you can reduce the fat by 1/4 to 1/3 without adding any sugar. They say you can't really tell the difference.
I haven't tried this yet. (but I do it with my other salad dressings)
I use Miracle Whip which has high-fructose corn syrup listed as its third ingredient. It has 2g of Carbs per 1 Tbsp, so I use it sparingly. I love Miracle Whip.
(somewhere recently I read about a mayo-substitute . now I cant find it. sorry.)

Maybe some more experienced low carbers can jump in here.
