Thumbs up

hi karen.
i just finished eating a bowl of your daikon, chinese cabbage and tofu soup. i added left over roast chicken to mine. it was DELICIOUS!!! i'd love to eat another bowl, but i'm really full. i'd never had daikon before, but i see lots of oriental people buying it. i tasted a piece raw and it tasted exactly like a radish. it was just wonderful in the soup. the broth was great with just a slight taste of the ginger. i added sesame oil to my bowl. i think when i have it for lunch tomorrow, i'll add lime juice. thanks so much for this recipe. it's a keeper!
love debbie

Thanks Debbie!

The sesame oil is a great idea. Are you familiar with fish sauce? I always add a splash or two to my bowl.

Daikon is terrific roasted around chicken too. You can also cut it into french fry shaped pieces and roast it on high heat so it won't get too limp and then dip it into garlic mayonnaise. Or sprinkle them with lime, salt and cayenne pepper. Big yum!
