Default South Beach Flu?!?!

Sorry if this is posted somewhere else...I snooped around the site and didnt find what I was looking for. I am phase 1, day 2 and I feel like CRAP! I am SO WEAK! SO LETHARGIC! NO ENERGY! I am literally creeping around my house from chair to chair to couch. And I usually burn hot and fast! Go, go, go...all day! I read somewhere that the more carbs you ate prior to SBD, the worse the detox will be. Is this what's happening? I DID eat a lot of sugar and carby-type foods...more than most ppl, I'd say. When will I feel better?? I should mention that this is my 2nd time trying SBD (for hubby's sake) and the first time, I got REALLY REALLY sick: throwing up, shaking, etc...couldnt take care of my kids! My mom came over and made me eat a turkey sandwich, and I immediately felt better. HELP?!?!?

It sounds like you aren't eating enough calories to sustain yourself. If you haven't low carbed before, you don't have to lower the carbs so drastically or so quickly in order to lose. How fast have you lost from 112 to 107? It doesn't sound like a lot but for a little person, you could have lost too much too quickly and become a little dehydrated. Not every plan works well for everyone either. I'd lower the carbs more slowly since you are almost at goal anyway and I'd make sure I wasn't cannibalizing my own muscle tissue by eating adequate protein.

Thanks...good advice. I really dnt have weight to lose; I am in support of my husband. I am REALLY petite: 5 feet tall. But he is someone who needs a "buddy" during a diet, and he does have more weight to lose. He had lost abt 45lbs the first time around. I did it with him for a day or two and quit bc of the vomiting. So, phase 2, you think?

Go to maintenance phase 3 if you don't want to lose weight!
