Default "Get Lost" tea.

I'm wondering if anyone else has tried this herbal tea? It doesn't make miraculous weight-loss claims, but seems to be a good "snack" since it smells wonderful, and it has some herbs in it that might be useful.

Roobios(leaf) , orange (peel ) 525 mg
Carob (pod) 300 mg
Cinnamon (bark) 275 mg
Gymnema (leaf) 140 mg
Banaba (leaf) extract 20 mg

It says to have three cups a day, either before or after meals.

It doesn't have the laxitive ingredients that some "diet" teas have, nor any ingredients that might cause me the same problems as supplements loaded with guarana and other caffiene-y things, so I'm going to give it a shot. If nothing else, it'll taste good.

Default How many carbs per cup?

The Atkins carb counter lists herbal teas as still containing carbs.

Just curious.

I wonder if those teas work?

I've been drinking decaffeinated green tea.

Kinda still miffed at an entirely different thread that's a bit hyper about carb counting, but after a while, I just quit worrying about the # of carbs in any tea product that's not sweetened. That's not where my trouble comes from. YMMV.

Default Not plausible to get fat off herbal tea

I agree, but so many things aren't really carb free I'm learning. Still, it's such a minute amount!

Hi PotatoFree,

As a nutritionist, that tea is an excellent formula. Roobios is for flavour (also a great source of Vitamin C), The rest of the ingredients are well known herbs for blood sugar control. Cinnamon is a very good source of Chromium and the banaba and gymnema increase insulin sensitivity. The amount of carbs would be insignificant.

What company makes this? I would love to get my hands on it in Canada but I haven't seen it.

I bought mine at a CashWise grocery store, in the organics section, but they do have a website listed on the label.

Just anote... I tried a cup and it's delicious. I could even see drinking it without my beloved yellow packet.
