My God, woman, if that was my typical day, I'd be thin, trim, slim.
If that is what you eat every day (what does typical mean), keep doing it and just wait. You will be successful.
I am afraid when people say, 'Eat more' since that is how I myself got fat to begin with. If you can eat simply and keep it up and not 'fall off the wagon', there is no way you can fail. You just haven't seen results yet but they will come because the diet you choose is a way of life - and induction is just the strictest form of the diet, not the lifestyle (yet!)
I haven't been losing weight but I do have faith that this way of eating (low-carb) is the way to success for me. I feel better, the food tastes better than the food from other diets. The fact that you have an Atkins type husband is all to the good.
Just be patient! It will happen.

76 pounds down and the odd teaspoon of Miracle Whip hasn't bothered me. I just HATE real mayo. I avoid both if I can. Once a month, though, not every day!

I have eaten Miracle Whip all my life and never cared for mayo at all. Even still, I eat enough tuna salad and deviled eggs that I knew those carbs would add up, so I bought some real mayo. This first time or two it tasted odd, but now I really don't mind it. I miss ketchup more than miracle whip, mayo has filled in the gap nicely. If only I could find sugar-less ketchup!

This is a great recipe. It literally takes five minutes to make and tastes great.

Careful with eating too much tuna fish.

Mathmaniac...I am really not eating that much more these days. Maybe 200 to 400 more calories. In all honesty, I have such a tiny appetite these days. I agree....the eat eat eat philosophy is exactly how I gained the weight!

I would not drop onions if you like them!! You are allowed one cup of onions (about 160 grams weight of raw onions) and the net carbs of that according to the USDA database is about 12 grams. I only use about 1/4 cup of sliced onions in my omelettes, which at 3 net carbs is no problem.

I think that's because you were eat eat eating the wrong foods;-) You do need to eat regularly to keep your furnace burning full blast, you just need to eat the right things! I tend to rethink my food pyramid with veggies on the bottom, then meats, dairy, and everything else on top. If you're eating refined carbs, your body is busy storing fat all day (that is insulin's job, after-all.) If you are eating nutrient dense low carb foods, your body is busy burning fat all day. It's really not as much about how many calories you eat (though that does matter more for some than others) it's mostly about the kinds of foods you eat. I would be careful not to strictly limit calories in the beginning, you need plenty of healthy fats to fight all the bad fats;-) And fat has calories!

I love onions and as a matter of fact, I miss my salsa on my morning eggs. But in the book he said that they can be one of the factors in a stall, as they are high glycemic. I'll add them back in and see if it stalls me again.

I've been on a really good roll lately, so nows the time to see

I like onions, fresh tomato, and cilantro in my omelets;-) I just use a teaspoon or two to give me the flavor without too many carbs!

Tomatoes are an Induction food.

It's possible to buy salsa without added sugar.

If you're not drowning your eggs in salsa, why not try having it?

Atkins isn't about eating food you don't like.
