They are better on day 2...they really soften up and absorb the flavour. I made them in a soup with onion, celery, chicken stock and diced chicken. VERY good..especially day 2!

I mixed some into a dinner omlet that I made last week. Just chopped them up small. That omlet stayed with me all night!

Hey guys.

Okay, I was checking out some places looking for the shiratiki noodles. My local "health food store" and the guy had never heard of the stuff. What a...

Anyway, so I stopped by two other places to compare prices and such, but now I have another question. Which is better (in your opinion)?

At a local drugstore/vitamin shop, I found the shirataki noodles: tofu shirataki noodles. They appeared to look like pasta, and even came in fettuccine and spaghetti shaped. The carb count was 3g, but 2g of fiber (1 net carb per serving).

Then, at an Asian food store, I found actual shirataki noodles. The were almost clear (and kind of worm like) and had <1g carbs per serving.

So, has anyone tried both and do you have an opinion one which is better tasting or better for you?

We cant get the tofu/shirataki kind here but from what I read online they are supposed to taste more like 'real' pasta noodles.
The plain shirataki are more 'rubbery' in mouthfeel.
