Hey, don't be afraid to try this diet! I am new to the high protein route myself. I have been thin all my life, until I got pregnant, I weighed 125. The day I had my daughter Nov.13, 2001 I weighed 200. I have been overweight ever since she was born, I've tried everything. At first, all the plans I made up worked, at least enough to make me lose about 30 pounds, but then nothing I did worked. I became really depressed, especially when I'd look at old pics of my self only 2 years ago. Then I just decided that I had to do it, or I would be this way forever. I started Atkins on 12-30-02, and I've lost 11 pounds! If I can do it, anyone can. It really helps to make a journal too, and set goals for yourself every week.
