Default To Eat Or Not To Eat Before Lifting

Ok, here goes... I'm doing the Atkins Induction phase for a while in order to burn a significant amount of fat.

My question is, do I eat before I do my weight training early in the morning?? And if so, what do I eat, while still following the Induction Menu?

I hear other people talking about Whey Protein Shakes; but they're off-limits to me during this stage....

Thanks...
Jennifer

I try to eat within 2 hours of lifting. Either I have a protein shake, 1/2 protein bar, a couple of boiled eggs & ranch dressing. Just something to hit the spot so I won't get ravenous right in the middle of my workout. But you can have a whey protein shake w/in 30 minutes of working it since it is a faster acting protein.

I eat an hour before weightlifting, and 2 hours after.
