Combating cravings
For those pregnant and those that have BTDT, what do you do to combat your cravings? I got my first real craving this weekend and it was for stupid Fruity Pebbles! It's all I thought about for three days straight and I thought I would go insane, so I finally bought a box. The craving is gone now that I've had it, but I can't help but wonder if there's something I could've done to avoid eating the cereal. This may sound insane, but I really felt out of control like I HAD to have the damn cereal! I've never felt that way in my life, so I think it had to have been pregnancy related...
I tried eating fruit and some other sweeter items, but that didn't seem to help. Simply "not thinking about it" didn't work either. I just hope this doesn't happen regularly, or, if it does it's for foods that aren't made out of total crap!
Any advice/suggestions? Thanks!
