Default Anyone else read Fit Pregnancy?

I just got my first issue of Fit Pregnancy today. It kept talking about these "studies" about how a high fat diet is bad for pregnancy and that your baby will suffer long after birth because of it.

Their examples of high fat foods? Milkshakes. Cookies. Cheeseburgers (with the bun).

*sigh* It just makes me want to smack my head against the wall. Will they ever learn?

I'm just glad I know better, but it makes me sad to think that there are probably plenty of pregnant chicks out there that take this to heart and will avoid as much fat as possible, instead relying on empty carbs for much of their diet...

That said, I still like the magazine (though I'd probably read a shoebox if it had anything about pregnancy on it! ). I just have to read selectively.

I used to read it when I was pregnant. Liked the exercises but couldn't cope with the food, and I wasn't even low carbing then. It was all the recipes that included things like fat free olive oil that lost it for me.
