Well! that's a piece of welcome good news... I'm knocking on the door of 56 but I still feel, on a good day, not much over 45. I like reading articles that make me take stock of myself and really think about what I'm doing... I am not a saint with my diet, I have what I want to eat when the fancy takes me... I live alone so I cook if I want, only shop for myself but there's no one to look after me, cuddle me, wind me up etc so it all depends how I feel to how I eat. I've been feeling o.k. both mentally and physically lately, so don't feel to bad for me.. I'm strong. I have been on "Atkins" ( my style " since March 21st and have not eaten pasta, rice, bread, cracker, potato, beans, peas,corn,.... nothing high carb in my menu. I wanted firstly to eliminate wheat, but I went all the way and knocked out all the rest at the same time. If you read my journal, you'll see an episode with a very stubborn gateaux, .... but the point I'm getting to is I feel good, my stomach is not bloated, I survived without bread, I didn't HAVE to eat rice or pasta to feel full. My weight loss has slowed down but that's my fault. I shall get back on that horse and give it another go. I've lost 13 lbs, I promised a lb a week till my birthday, so best go for that walk......
