I get a newsletter from the Atkin's Center and earlier this week then sent out a letter on how the Atkin's Diet team would continue on in the event of his death. They were assuring people that he had already handed over many of the functions to others to continue his work. So this WOE isn't going to disappear.

So sad to have lost him so soon after discovering him

....Just when the mainstream medical industry is starting to eat crow and pay positive attention to Dr Atkins' way of eating. Ironic.

My condolences to his wife and his mother.

Unhappy so sad about Dr. Atkins

I am so sad to hear that Dr. Atkins passed away... words cannot express my emotions. I have been off and on (mostly on) this way of life for about 2 years and even though I didn't know him personally, he touched my life in more ways than I can count. I have learned confidence in myself from changing my life by this way of life -

My heart is sad for his family which is left behind. And although he is not on this earth any longer, I feel happier in my heart to know he is in heaven and is shining down upon us all.

I know we all feel the same...

Here's to Dr. Atkins - a true angel.

Nancy

Angry oh no

I was horrified to hear that Dr. Atkins had passed away. I had hoped he would recover. I will think of him every day since his books have a prominent place in my house and never get put away. Sincerest best wishes to his family.

Default The biggest thing

The one thing that symbolizes best to me Dr. Atkins, is the fact you can do his diet for FREE. Does he sell books, vitamins, and food? He sure did. BUT, he gave you every single thing you could ever need for free on his website, including hundreds of recipes! Because deep down he wanted every single one of us to get healthy and learn his way of eating, even if we never bought a thing from him.

This may sound dumb, but I had dreamed of getting to my goal weight and meeting you one day and having you sign my book. For some reason I always pictured this meeting with me wearing my pants that would then be 10 sizes too big and wearing suspenders to hold them up

RIP DR A......because of you many of us will now live to see 60.

yes, condolences to the Atkins family and friends.

Can see why everyone's upset, at least he didnt suffer and die of heart disease / failure, this way he can protect his legacy, he went painlesly. God had mercy on him for his good works IN HELPING OTHERS..

I offer the Serenity Prayer which befits all who struggle with consumption temptations of whatever kind, this prayer I associate with Mr Atkins:

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change , the COURAGE to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. Amen

bYE MR ATKINS AND THANKS A MILLION FOR HELPING ME TO QUIT SMOKING 1 YR AGO TOO

I read about his death on the papers this morning.

Condolences to his family & friends....

For all of us fiercely loyal to the Atkin's legacy, let us continue his fighting spirit for the well being of all human beings.....

If anyone asks me about my most important turning point in life, it has to be Atkins.

This is so gutting, Dr Atkins was a real fighter.

At least we know that now he'll receive the recognition he deserves.
