Default Scale FINALLY budged!!!

Hallelujah!!! We have movement here! Finally, after 2 weeks my scale finally went down a pound. I can't say I've been getting discouraged, but I CAN say I was wondering what's going on! So far, to date, I've lost 8#, 1" in my bust, 1" in my waist, and 1/2" in my hips......not alot, but I'm thrilled with it! I really want to lose 5# more by April 16th and I'm convinced I can do it this time. I'm also convinced that I can keep it off eating this way....it seems to be effortless (well.....not ALWAYS!!)

My husband has lost 18#, 1-3/4" around his waist and 2-1/2" across his chest. He feels just great and we're looking forward to his next bloodwork to see if it has helped his cholesterol levels. He's battled high cholesterol his whole life and we've tried EVERYTHING, including the Dean Ornish way of eating.....nothing ever helped (except medication). If this works, I'll be the strongest advocate Atkins EVER saw!!!!!

Not that I haven't tried that (didn't work for me, either).

Seriously....the scale does not tell the whole picture and scales do lie. A much better way to gauge your progress is through the tape measure. Measure everything that you can reach and then keep measuring at regular intervals like every couple of weeks. My DH and I measure the 1st of every month and he actually has enough self-discipline to only weigh that often, too.
People often find that even when they are not losing pounds, they are losing inches and that's what really matters...getting smaller.

Angry Whaaaaaaa

Stupid Scale... seems I found the pound again....

LOL.... just some sarcastic humour for today... the formentioned is true... but I do know that my weight goes up and down... especially when you weigh in every day... as I do... *help... I just can't stop that bad habit...

I am still proud of yesterdays weight... as that is the Lowest the scale has read... in ... like for ever... and no one can take that away from me....

think "Tom" is very close... so that could be a biggy for the scales... and I don't let that get to me either...

I too threaten the scales... but it doesn't listen... in fact... last weekend... I said to hubby..."that's it... if I don't loose anything by the end of the month" ... but I know... deep inside... that I would not pack it in... I still feel much better in this WOL... and lets face it.... then I would have to give up all this wonderfull support... and the Great friends I've made....

So I wear the LC lable with pride... in good times and bad...

Well guess that's the end of my ranting for now... lol thanx for bearing with me...

ciao
