Exclamation Hypo, phentermine, and hair loss

I need some help PLEASE.

Back in March, I went in to the Dr., and requested a TSH test, it came back as 4.2, doc put me on 20 mg of Armour, In May, she let me start taking phentermine, as I had not lost any weight, about two weeks into the phen, my hair started falling out, and I felt like I was losing my mind. So, I went back to her, she took me off everything, and said come back in 30 days and we will test TSH, well I did, and she said it was fine...I didnt need thyroid meds. She also told me that my hair loss would stop.......but, it Never has....my hair is so disgustingly frizzy...and course, I cant do anything with it, except put it up. Everytime I wash it, a ton falls out, also when I brush it, its the same way. I desperately want to find out if any of you have had similar experiences, and if so....how the heck can I stop this hair loss?????

Smile Hey!

I'm also hypothyroid, not experiencing any hair loss. I've been taking MSM for a couple months & my hair is thicker, fuller & much longer (have to have my roots done every 3 weeks ). You should give it a shot, it's beneficial in so many other ways also. Vitamin B & Biotin are also beneficial

Check these sites:

MSM :http://www.a1msm.co.uk/003/006_pate...methane_msm.htm

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your response. Ill try just about anything at this point. How do you take MSM? Do you take caplet form or what? I found it on IHERB.com, and think I will place an order for it now. THanks.

Smile Hey!

I take the capsules, 2000g a day. You need to start off low though, about 1000g I would think. If you start off on a high dose you may break out, I did. I read that "The skin being the largest organ of elimination may go temporarily spotty or bumpy if elimination of toxins occurs too quickly." I love the stuff, I'll take it forever. I think It'll help.

Good Luck!
