Diet Doctor is indeed awesome. I have DD liked on Facebook so I tend to receive most updates that way, but I also make a point of setting aside some time each weekend to catch up on the new videos they're often uploading. Low carb TV for the win!

Dr Andreas Eenfeldt is 6’7” and has not been overweight, that would have been awe inspiring if he had. But he was a Fanily Physician for a number of years, treating patients who were. When Dr Annika Dahlqvist had to defend the LC Diet before Sweden's health board, he then learned how effective LC could be to help his patients. It has snowballed from there, but he took the huge step of quitting his medical practice to try to make a LC website a viable business. The rest is history....https://www.dietdoctor.com/about

Thanks for the background. Nearly all of my LC / health reading is about people breaking from the mold and helping people, many who are nearly beyond hope. It's inspiring.

I totally agree that the DD site is a good one. It seems like every time I find a good site, a nice YouTube channel, or something like that, it eventually starts going off the rails into pseudoscience, woo conspiracies, and the like. Diet Doctor seems to be pretty even keel, with plenty of good information. I never thought about subscribing, but I'll definitely consider it now that I see the opinions of the good people here. :-)

I will have to look up this Dr Ahlqvist too...I've never heard of her either.

BillyHW, I put a note in the Comments section (How can we improve?) at Diet Doctor saying that I found it hard to navigate--like you, I often can't retrieve the page I saw before and want to return to. Usually I'm happy to wander around though, as I always find something new and interesting.

Since this thread was started almost 2 years ago, DD has continued to improve. Yes, I find navigation requires some thought, but overall, the fresh information, recipes, videos, interviews, personal stories, and recipes for various LC eating approaches is unsurpassed in terms of finding all of this on one site. The video quality is very professional. I value my DD membership.

That's the wrong site. Here's the correct DietDoctor site:

I joined and I'll pay the $9 per month until I've read and watched everything on there.
You may never catch up! That said, I don't read Diet Doctor as much as I used to. However, I keep my subscription because I think it is the BEST place on the web to refer people with questions about all things low-carb. The complete introductory advice is FREE and accurate. I want DD to continue offering a quality, non-advertising based information source.
