Thank you, my best friend lives there and before I head to a wintry area I will stay with her once again - looking forward to it. I was there for 6 months in 2015, beautiful place. Too hot and humid to stay, but love visiting. Looking forward to some weather!

Thu Aug 31 - 30 min walk around neighborhood
Pre-dawn silhouette...

This tree had fuzzy blooms...

A big blooming cactus like the one in J's backyard...

Fri Sept 1 - 20 min walk around neighborhood
Another cactus in bloom...

I find these dark yellow seed pods so interesting on the palm trees...

Pinky red flowers against a chicken wire fence...

A bed of calla-looking flowers along the way...

Sat Sept 2 - 20 min walk around neighborhood (humid today!)
I could not catch a pic of these lights on at holiday time, but I finally walked by at the right time...

It's all about the sunrise color...

Beautiful colorful skies this AM...

Fri Sept 22 (Fall Equinox) (from the 90 Day Good Habit Workshop Thread) 20 min **it was 30 min not 20** of A Morning Cup of Yoga - actually did it before sunrise out in the backyard with the dogs...mornings are nice and cool now, pre-sunrise a very pretty time of day, birds, hummingbirds... And I had my cuppa out with me. I am stiff and awkward but all but one exercise I was able to do.

Sat Sept 23: I did 30 min of A Morning Cup of Yoga outside after work after the sun went down. Decent out (82) and nice breeze, you can feel the temp dropping....This time I got to the exercise after the one I stopped at yesterday, - I can only get so far, not able to get thru the entire routine yet. It's very nice to do this outside, especially with the breathing.
I noticed today at the library how tense and tight I am all day (we are very busy) and I tend to hold my breath - I was aware of my breathing today and had to make myself let it out, and take some deep breaths. I even went to take a break so I could relax and breathe (I rarely take breaks). I LIKE THIS!
**total exercise: 1 hour
I am still aiming for a goal of 2 hours a week even though that thread is not active anymore... in an ideal world I'd like to do an hour a day 6 days a week - something to work up to.

Hi Paula!
Ha, I didn't use to be...I learned, though, that it's so quiet and peaceful at that hour, and sunrise is beautiful and COOL out - here it's the best part of the day (meaning the coolest without the oppressive sun) - so I now get up. The evenings are getting better too, I am able to be outside after sunset now.
Doing yoga outside is really nice, too...added energy from fresh air...I need all the help I can get

An aside here is that the dogs need to go out, and elder dog has a pill schedule, so another reason to get up and do all that...

I was never a morning person but now usually the latest I wake up is 8:30 (and that is 'late' to me). The usual is around 7:30, unless I set an alarm. This has also been the result of living in a too-hot climate for too-long!

Ha, yes... it's so tempting to stay up late while it's cooling off but I end up getting up early anyway for the dogs...
Sad, isn't it - sleeping in means 6 AM...

Mon Oct 23 - 20 min spent doing A Morning Cup of Yoga outside in the cool night air...started at the back of the book to mix it up a little, since I never get that far...

Tues Oct 24 - 20 min spent at work inbetween calls doing A Morning Cup of Yoga exercises in my chair... it felt good.
Wed Oct 25 - 20 min spent doing easier stretches out of Stretching for 50+, inside...the air stinks tonight outside. No rain for months makes for dirty stinky place to live... most nights the air isn't bad but tonight it reeks.

Thu Oct 26 - 20 spent doing A Morning Cup of Yoga before work this afternoon, and what I could do out of a new book : Bikini Body Made Easy by Charmaine Yabsley, Zest magazine - British publication women's magazine (I just do what I can. New fun books just help keep me interested)

total: 2 hours - goal met.

Wed Nov 8 - 20 min spent outside this evening doing warm up powerwalking and balancing around the back yard in the nice cool air after sunset. Did arm and leg exercises, including squats! from Bikini Body Made Easy. Then two of my favorites from A Morning Cup of Yoga

Fri Nov 10 - 30 min outside after sunset doing A Morning Cup of Yoga
Sun Nov 12 - 20 min dancing to Pandora dance station while cooking/cleaning up in kitchen

My Love Don't Cost A Thing
The Morning Cup of Yoga book is going to be due because there is a hold on it!!! AAAAAggggggh. Somebody else wants it!!! I will cling to it til Nov 26 when it is due, and get myself a copy. I like it that much.

total this week: 1 1/2 hrs. Falling short. Missed doing anything on Thursday - a lot of drama on the family front, was on the phone...exhausting.
