So yesterday I also did 3 X 10 ledge pushups. And I got on the rebounder for an 11 minute session in the afternoon -- intervals, one minute jog bouncing, 30 seconds intense jumping, 30 seconds gentler bouncing. Lather, rinse, repeat for the 11 minutes.

This morning I got up. Got on the rebounder for 11 minutes. Did 14 minutes of KB workout.

3 X 15 sumo deadlift ~ 35#
3 X 7 KB swings ~ 35#
2 X 15 KB swings ~ 20#
2 X 5 one arm swings ~ 20#
2 X 10 bent arm pullovers ~ 10#
2 X 10 alternating presses ~ 10#
1 X 10 two hand push presses ~ 20#

I'd just cleaned the 20# KB to do some squats, but the timer went off...and I respect the timer.

Odhinn apparently had a death wish this morning. I was doing the swings with the 35# KB when he decided that it was an 18-inch elastic moment and started trying to wind himself around my ankles. NOT a good idea when mama is swinging a 35# hunk of iron with a handle. I somehow managed to avoid killing him and injuring myself. I paused the timer for a minute and had a coniption. A few minutes later when I lay down on the rebounder to do the pullovers, Odhinn managed to put himself in a position where he got clocked by the 10# KB. Luckily he's got a really hard skull and I was in full control of the KB, so it didn't hit him hard. Oy.

Yesterday was rest day.

This morning I got on the rebounder for 12 minutes. Interval jog bouncing and jumping -- 1 minute jogging/30 seconds jumping/30 seconds bouncing for 6 minutes total, then 1/45/15 for another 4 minutes, then 1/1 for 2 minutes. Wow.

Then I shugged for 14 minutes, using a 12lb hammer for one set and an 8lb hammer for the second set (10 per set).

shoveling, churning the butter, tucking bales, picking the onions, hoisting the sack, stoking the fire, paddling the canoe, chopping the tree, flipping the lever (2 sets ~ 8 lbs), the fireman, ab killer

My temp went from 97 basal this morning to 97.8 about 30 minutes after my workout.

I love shovelglove. That is all.

I did 2 sets of 10 ledge pushups at work today. When I got home I did 30 minutes of the Slim & Fit dvd with Leslie Sansone and the Walkblaster.

Now I'm done for the day.

I have a 25lb and 35lb "Iron Core" KB-- those things are really killer at 1st.

I do notice now, I feel like one big muscle-- instead of just strong extremities its all strength integrated together reptilian fashion, like a snake. I also have less problems with backache and my shoulder problems have cleared up. I have trained with free weights for many years, but its not the same. Its a great fat burning routine if you can stand it.

for the uninitiated ...

This morning I got on the rebounder and just set the timer for 14 minutes. Intervals. 1 minute/30 seconds/30 seconds for two rounds, 1/45/15 for two more rounds, and then 1/1 for two final rounds. Yeah, I was sweating when I finished that up.

Then I decided to do shovelglove instead of kettlebells today. The cats get in the way more with KBs than they do with SG. Maybe because I'm bent over more with the squats and swings... Set the timer for 14 minutes. One set with the 12# hammer, the next with the 8# hammer.

shoveling, churning the butter, tucking bales, picking the onions, hoisting the sack (2 sets ~ 8#, stoking the fire, paddling the canoe, chopping the tree, flipping the lever (2 sets ~ 8#), the fireman, ab killer

Oof. Now I'm off to shower.

Yesterday afternoon I got on the rebounder for another 14 minutes...testing out my new timer. And then I did Leslie Sansone's Slim & Thin Walkblaster for 30 min.

Did it about 3 hours before bed time so I had a chance to cool down and relax before bed. It helped me to fall asleep before full dark...which is good.

Yesterday I didn't turn on the 'puter.

But I DID spend 14 min on the rebounder. Those intervals again. And I DID spend 14 min with the kettlebells...35#, 20# and 10#. Sumo deadlifts, Swings, cleans and presses. And lots and lots of squatting. And I did the Leslie Sansone Walkblaster Shape & Fit video.
