Default What type of Protein Shake?

Hello everyone!

I'm using a protein shake that has less than 3 g of carbs, and 18 g of protein, but it does have sugar in it. Is that okay to use?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Sorry that I didn't see this sooner!
No, 'no sugar added' is what is OK. Save this protein shake for after you get to your goal and find one that has none in it.
While 3 grams of sugar isn't a lot, we do need to follow the plan as written. Using products that have any added sugars is not part of the plan.

I make my own mocha shake in the mornings:

ice
nonfat milk
1/3 c. lowfat ricotta for thickening
1 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa
a few splenda packets to taste
1 tbsp of instant coffee

count some of the calories (splenda/cocoa) to your daily sweet treats

You have to really blend it though so the ricotta isn't grainy. I use a magic bullit.

It's REALLY GOOD. Even my teenager likes it, and she doesn't like anything!
