From my experiences, dietitians these days in the US are very scary. The advise they give is a prescription for sickness...
I had a relative in he hospital once and had to literally argue why she didn't eat carbs. Although elderly, her BS was normal and was on no meds.

That part about having to eat bugs on Paleo diet is the funniest thing I've ever heard!

Dieticians are scary as are so many doctors and other medical professionals. So many of them either create sickness or exacerbate the sickness already present in their patients by their nutritional advice and their over prescribing of drugs. It horrifies me. And then there's the prosecution and persecution of doctors and dieticians who are actually trying to reverse the tide of chronic disease. Big money, big food, big pharma.

You said it Jean, Big money, big food and big pharma..

I was just talking to DD about this the other day about all of the incentives to get doctors to prescribe more and more drugs that will harm us, not help us. That's a true statement that they actually create more sickness.

There is so much greed involved in the medical field these days. If there are any good old doctors who actually care about their patients, IDK where they are anymore.
The very few times I have been to a doctor in the past few years, I met only quacks...
I would love to find a good one like Dr. Davis but so far I haven't and I'm not sure many exist.

Same with DD. She has been to so many doctors and only has bills to show for it with nothing and no one helping her.

I saw a couple the other day who was maybe 5 years older than I and both of them were so sick with diabetes that she couldn't even walk without his help. He even prepared her plate for her at the Chinese buffet. Everything was carbs on plate after plate and they both had lots of fruit and sweets at the end.

I was with my GS and somehow we got on the subject of my LC and I was explaining to him how the rice, noodles and breading on foods turns to sugar in the body. He's starting to get it. We talked about boxed cereal consumption which his father use to load up on until he began getting fat so he too went low carb.

Hopefully the next generation will get it!
