Beanless beef chili with sour cream and sharp cheddar toppings. Has some carbs due to the diced smoked tomatoes but we keep those to a minimum. About 5 g carb for 1.5 cups of chili.

The temperature here rapidly went from "pleasant brisk fall" to "OMG, I'm not going out there" really quickly yesterday, so it was a good night for pumpkin sausage soup.

Tonight: I have leftover pumpkin and not much else, so it's curried pumpkin soup with chicken.

Kristine- I love pumpkin sausage soup. Thanks for the reminder. As a Canadian, you would laugh but I am dying now that it hit 40s!

I didn't visit the forum last week- didn't want to post what I was eating- like an epic bar, some cheese and some nuts/ dried beans. My beloved dog quite suddenly monday, and I just couldn't handle it.

Tonight I am going to cook a proper meal- Chile lime chicken burgers with salsa and melted cheese, maybe some tofutti sour cream.

I'm so sorry you lost your dog, Robin. It's so hard to lose an animal.

12 oz Salmon filet wrapped in 5 slices of bacon and baked, then topped with fresh, spicy guacamole made from one small Hass avocado and one small Roma tomato and spices. (less than 20 carbs).

I found this recipe on the web and it looked healthy and sounded good but it tasted just barely "ok". It was very filling but I don't think I'll make it again. The flavors just didn't go together.

Oh Robin, I'm so sorry for your loss, I understand the heartbreak, it is what brought me to this forum, the loss of my horse Charlie and then only a few short months later, our dog. Animals are such a big part of my life...sending healing hugs and prayers..

Dinner was a large salad, hard boiled egg, 1 oz cheddar cheese, 1/2 small can of water packed tuna, bacon ranch dressing, it was awesome. ttyl
