Default Hi all !

Hi all ! I joined this group some time ago but never came back to post. but recently my dad had a heart attack and just finished open heart surgery to graft 7 arteries. I have been very overweight for the last 10 years (I'm 42-male-6' and weigh 296 lbs.)i have tried Atkins with some good success but did not get enough exercise so i tried Body for Life and got exercise but I ate way too much. so i am going to combine the 2 and hope there is some guidance from the forum for me to help me get down to the weight i need to be at to be healthy while building strength and eating healthy. a combination is not usually recommended i have heard but, i need to mix it up for my lifestyle and body chemistry. i hope to have an opportunity to know each one of you on a more personal level at some point in the future and if it is the Lords will you will all be my inspiration to rebuild my body and regain my drive for life. Thanks in advance to all of you for your time and insight.
Dave

Hi there!

You'll find lots of people who have combined Atkins with BFL. Usually when we don't recommend combining plans, we mean eating plans. Most people do the BFL exercise formula, and Atkins OWL. They adjust their carb intake for their exercise performance.

Here is the BFL forum.

Good luck!

Welcome! I would recommend starting a journal in the forum, good way to keep track of your experience...

Take Care!
