Default LC but I dont want to loose weight

Some times ago, I was not really eating many carbs and noted how much better i felt. I lost excess water, which made me feel really great. However, at that point it wasn't intentionally to cut carbs particularly (I just wanted to loose weight). And so, I had no idea at that point that is was the carbs that really constituted the improved feeling in my body...

Because at that point (where I didn't knew the relation between water and carbs), I instead went to a quit normal diet, with healthy complex carbs and reduced fat.

Throughout this "diet" I lost weight but I kept having this bloated feeling. My fingers and my face was puffy. I really missed how I felt when I was LC eating.

So then I thought that I should try this LC again. However, I dont want to loose any more weight, I just want to get the "lean" feeling when getting rid of the excess water and get rid of the bloating.

So can you go on this low carb diet without necessarily wanting to loose weight?

Welcome,
Sure you can, that's what people on maintenance and diabetics do here. I stay low carb because grains and sugar cause skin and joint inflammation issues for me and for the possibility of cancer prevention.
If you have an Atkins book, you can work your way "up the ladder" to see what level of carbs or foods brings back the puffy feeling and then stay below that. There is an Atkins for Life book published sometime early 2000s with plans for higher carb levels, seen often in thrift stores or find in a library.
You might also want to test certain foods like grains, sugar and dairy. Maybe it is not the carb level per se but grains or something else that cause the puffiness? Try one of the Paleo Elimination diets like the popular "Whole 30”. You start with a month of no sugar, grains and dairy and then test carefully when adding them back. These diets are "carb agnostic", as you could load up with allowed tubers like sweet potato and fruit.

Yep, I'm a thin type 1 diabetic as Janet mentioned there are many reasons to low carb

I found eating more calories keeps weight on. I eat around 30-35 carbs, after subtracting fiber. I do let myself include beans (usually hummus), and occasional small quantities of fruit. As long as I get enough calories, I do just fine.
