I hear alot of people talk about how they dislike the coconut oil that they have bought. I use the Nutiva Organic coconut oil. I purchased mine on bodybuilding.com (they have great prices on their supplements too btw) I'm sure that netrition.com has it as well because I just purchased some coconut flour and other stuff for baking on their site. I love the Nutiva coconut oil.

Both the websites Maggsie mentions are US sites. Tiana is in the UK.

Any health food shop will sell it but I buy mine from an ordinary asian corner shop as it is just a normal cooking oil in their culture.
Bigger jars for half the price of H&B's prices!!

My local Tesco now sells KTC coconut oil.

Virgin coconut oil is available on Amazon.

The cheapest I've found is:

http://www.goodnessdirect.co.uk/cgi-local/frameset/detail/675277_Redwood_Vegan_Cold_Pressed_Organic_Coconut_Oil_450ml.html

They sell coconut flour (Tiana) as well.

I'm still using up a bunch of jars I bought from Holland & Barrett when they were on sale. Just looked it up and they are on sale again atm, 2 x 453g for £12.60 (out of stock online, but you could try your local shop):

This is an online shop I've used to buy coconut oil. They also sell coconut flour and ground almonds (almond flour).

£1.99 for a 250ml bottle in my local Chinese supermarket. (the brand is 'Pride'.)
Haven't tried it yet, as it's in a narrow-necked bottle, and it's solidified, as my house is freezing cold!

I find that the cheap varieties of coconut oil are horrible, they have a texture like lard and have no aroma, whereas if you invest in the more expensive jars they have a lighter texture and actually have the coconut smell which is lovely. I always buy 100% virgin coconut oil, it has so many health benefits, this is something I won't compromise on, I cook most things with coconut oil and use it when I get a sugar craving.

Holland and Barrett - 'perfectly pure coconut oil'. Big green tub seen on this page. https://www.hollandandbarrett.com/p...82&linkpos=cats Quite expensive though! Worth stocking up on when their 'buy one get the other for 99p' offer comes around.
