Can not even find where to go to upload a photo of myself! How do I put a photo of self next to my comments?

Go to UserCP at the left end of the toolbar. Click on Edit Avatar, if that's the picture you want to create. Scroll to the bottom of the page to upload one of your own. The menu at UserCP also has an option for uploading a Profile picture, if that's what you're inquiring about.

There are size limits to the pics you can upload, so you may have to reduce your pic before you can upload it. You can do that on Photoshop, if you have that software, or you can use google to search for free sites where you can shrink pics. There are several that are available online.
