Default 9 Months

9 months to the day have passed since I have started low carbing. I never thought when I started this that it would be so easy and so successful. Weighing in this morning, I am down 69 pounds, and feeling great. Although I am still addressing the problem of trying to rid the last remnants of those hard to rid of love handles, I continue on with this lifestyle, and am ever thankful to the lovely girl who passed me a copy of Protein Power last October 9 (I think it was on thanksgiving).

To any newcomers just starting, the best advise I can give is to stick to it, and remember that everyone is different, and people lose at different rates

I just can't imagine where I would be if I didn't start low carbing. This definitely has to rate as a really good 9 months.

PS: I would rate this site as the best low carb site around.

Thanks to everyone who runs/contributes and visits this site

Bill

Default Bill, congrats to you.

But most of all THANKS to you. Because it's members like you post and tell of your success, and those who struggle (like me) and seek and muse the meanings of it all ....... that make this site what it is.

Continued success to you. And don't be a stranger!! Let us all know some of your insights --- 9 months is a long time, and I'm sure you have a lot of advice and experience to share.

Take care, and all the best to you...

Doreen

Thumbs up Big Baby !

Hi Bill

69 lbs in nine months. Wow! that is a big baby There I was thinking my mum was right when she said I was a big one at 8 lbs! Congratulations.

Yes tell us about your challenges and triumphs. You two gems (1. To any newcomers just starting, the best advise I can give is to stick to it, and remember that everyone is different, and people lose at different rates . and 2. I just can't imagine where I would be if I didn't start low carbing. This definitely has to rate as a really good 9 months. ) I have already discovered.

Karen I love the image a bouquet of "steaks" conjures up! I was in a public place yesterday and suddenly felt the hunger pangs. Tentatively looking around I decided I'd get my lunch out of my bag but as I took the first bire, I noticed all the heads look up and around and realised my beef-burger wrapped in lettuce was doing things to people's nostrils.

Thanks everyone. Your kind words make this even easier and more rewarding.

I am definitely sticking around. I check in here everyday (although I guess I should start posting more)

I feel I have made great progress, but there is still work to do.

Bill

Cool kewl

hey Bill,

I see you're in Richmond Hill. We're planning a Toronto lowcarb get-together in the next few weeks. Some of us are coming long-distance .. It would be terrific if you could join us. Check things out in the International category on the forum's home page ... look under Canada. I've posted a poll, but I think by tomorrow (Thursday) we can start firming things up as to date, place etc.

Any suggestions would be welcome ... Richmond Hill / Scarborough are ideal locales for those of us driving from elsewhere in the province!

Hope to hear from you,

Doreen
