Thumbs up Bell Peppers

Beautiful Dinner Bells

12oz or 3/4 lb Ground beef
5oz or 1/3 lb Hot pork sausage
1 tsp cumin
1 clove garlic minced
1 tbsp chili powder
1/4 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped mushrooms
2 large bell peppers
1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
1/4 cup mozzarella cheese shredded

mix ground beef, sausage, garlic, cumin and chili powder in bowl.
Cook over medium heat till some pink left
Add onions and mushrooms
Continue to cook for a couple more minutes (should be no pink and some dark brown beginning to show)
Drain in Colander

Wash and cut bell peppers in half so that each pepper keeps part of stem
Clean out inside of pepper of seeds but keep stems on (for aesthetics and helps keep shape)
Fill peppers and top with chopped tomatoes and mozzarella(tomatoes and cheese help give a light taste to the meat)
Preheat oven to 350
Lightly oil pan for nonstick (I use tinfoil as well for quick cleanup)
Bake peppers and extra meat (in separate pan) for 20 minutes
Plate and serve peppers with healthy portion of extra meat
