Default Master of my Domain... numero Quattro

Hey all y'all.. this is the NEW home for all the cool kids and WONJ's!!

...and here is the link to part 3, and below that, the rules!

http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthre...21&page=1&pp=30

It's turned out to be a wonderful, supportive group of people in this challenge. We were originally going to end Labor day (Sept) 05, but by popular demand... the challenge continues.. possibly for LIFE.. WOOHOO.

This is modeled after the famous Seinfold episode about being "Master of your domain" (well....except this is about EATING CHEAT FREE).

Here are the rules.....

1. Every day you are cheat free you are "Master of your Domain" and you get to increase your counter by a day.
2. If you cheat you have to start over and reset your counter (and we've ALL done this.. lol)

Here is part of the 'secret sauce'..... you can cheat WHENEVER YOU WANT!!!! .....and here is the catch.... you have to PLAN it!

3. A "planned" cheat day does not make you start over (birthday, cruise, vacation, etc.) PROVIDED you call out your cheat day in advance. i.e. I'm going on a cruise from the 31st through August 7th...

In general... you should plan your cheat as far in advance as possible, but a day in advance is fine. The general idea is to take back control from the food!!! If my cravings are REALLY bad.. I'll just declare a cheat 2 days from now and tell myself.. HEY dude, you want those foods?? GO for it.. just wait a couple days. It has helped me NOT stuff myself a couple of times already!!

If you're on a planned cheat, you don't reset your counter, but neither do you advance it. If I'm 7 days cheat free going into vacation, I'm 7 days when I get back from my vacation.

4. Come in and post your days cheat free.. give each other support (by name preferably)

YOU determine what a cheat is (but be fair or you'll only "cheat" yourself). People are on different plans and some are in induction and others are in maintenance... but there is ONE person who knows when you're on plan...and off, and that is YOU.

If you want to be part of this challenge.. copy and paste the following into your first post.... and join this crazy group!!!

I AMthe Master of My Domain

Good luck everyone!!

You beat me to it!

Our new name....very international!

I've been around but not posting much as usual. Just hanging out. NOthing new or exciting to report except that Friday morning ar 0300 our tsunami warning sirens went off and the automated warnings for evacuation to high ground went into effect. Luckily I have my nurse that I work with in the office is outside of the tsunami zone in town and the plan is that we go to her house. So off we go, my mom, ollie and me. For 7 hours of waiting and listening to the tsunami sirens go off about three more times--surreal to say the least. Luckily time passed with no danger or waves--maybe 3 footers--but looking at the USGS our tsunami bouys off the coast were all lit up like christmas lights. Scary. Learned some things regarding prepared-ness for next time. My eating has continued to be pretty good, but i've been stress eating (LC) due to the increase of stress in my new job. My weight has stayed stable, but I need to get it under control before it gets out of control. NOt even Zumba is burning off the negative energy. I'm thinking of taking up some martial arts--thinking that there might be a couple of dummies I can beat the crap out of THAT might make me feel better.

With all that said I am working on.....

I AMthe Master of My Domain - 17 days

That's taking into account my counting wrong (good catch Marbara) and my rodeo cheat day I called, but didn't have time to get back in here to call.

Work has been crazy busy, and when I'm not working I'm dancing. Learning new choreography for my country competition, trying to keep up with my ballroom class, being an "extra guy" in a West Coast Swing class.

When on a 12 mile bike ride today for the first time in awhile.. it felt great. They have paved a path next to one of our bayou's (drainage creeks) and part of it goes through the woods.. pretty relaxing and I felt good after it.

Went to a movie tonight, and skipped the popcorn!

Lisa.. so glad the Tsunami didn't translate to much in your area. Do you have the website where you were watching the buoys? That would be very interesting.

Liddie.. having the grandkids over is always fun!

Marbara.. thanks for the catch on the days.. how are you doing now?

Richard was on anti biotics for a sinus infection which did 2 things.. first it made it hard to discover what strain of meningitis He had. But it also may have helped to fight the meningitis. He will be in the hospital at least until Tuesday.
