Default bacon curls

Actually I'm not sure what bacon curls really are (but Mary Tyler Moore served them at a party in one of the early seasons of her show!). I was making bacon-wrapped mushrooms and ran out of mushrooms. So I just cut slices of bacon into two pieces, and curled each half-slice, arranging them in a circle on a plate.

Then baked it in the oven for 10 minutes ~ 375F. They get really crispy and well done with great bacon flavor. My new favorite snack. Tried them sprinkled with pepper and onion powder, last night dipped in some dijon mustard.

Mushrooms are great & bacon is great - sounds like a wonderful combination! But I've never made them before. Just circle the mushroom with the bacon? Toothpick to hold in place? Same time/temp as bacon curls?
