Default Can I use slimline tonic?

I've just started the Atkins diet - I have to go to a hen night - drinking alcohol will be compulsory and there's no getting away from it!!

I thought I would try damage limitation and stick to vodka with slimline tonic - what I would like to know is slimline tonic acceptable on the on-going weight loss phase.

Hi Babus

Enjoy the hen night tonight. I think that vodka and slimline tonic will be one of the best things to drink. No carbs and just some aspartamene. Whilst you should not make a habit of drinking large quanitites of artificial sweetner, it will not harm you on this ocassion. Whilst I know that alcohol is obligitory, the alcohol will have a larger effect on weight loss as the calories from the alcohol are used up before fat calories.

Have a really good night out and let us know how you get on.

Hi

Thanks for your reply - I can now enjoy my drinks without feeling too guilty. The Hen night isn't actually until Saturday night - so trying to think ahead a bit..

I'll let you know how I get on.

Many thanks

Babus
