Default Anybody else wake up starving?

I have noticed over the past few days, that I wake up very hungry. I need to have coffee with 1/2 and 1/2 before I leave for work, so I can make it there and have my breakfast.

I am wondering if I am eating enough, b/c I am not losing wt. Is it b/c I have less to lose? I figure I would have at least lost some water wt.

If I weigh 129, and 10x wt is the calorie goal as I've read here before, I only need 1300 cals, right? I am certainly getting this in.

Edited to say that yesterday I took in 1591 cals.

Anybody have any ideas?

suz, the 10-12 x your current body weight is a guideline for the minimum number of calories required to keep your body from entering starvation mode and/or being stressed. Eating more is quite alright and not a bad thing.

I would suspect that if you are hungry you might need to eat a bit more. Also have you been using www.fitday.com or another methode to accurately keep track of calories and carbs? It could also be the case that you are getting more carbs with your RM than you think - this might cause the hunger.

Nat - thanks for the quick reply.

I analyzed yesterdays food intake with Nutritionist 5 software, and I ate 1591 cals. I had 17 grams carb total for my 2 LC meals and 107 g carb for RM. Maybe this is too much?

On CALP the number of carbs at your reward meal DOESN'T MATTER. No need to keep track of them! (Read the book for why.)

It usually takes me a while to get over the cravings for carbs in the AM. Maybe you could have a cheese stick and some veggies, or some meat/cheese roll-ups on the way to work for breakfast, instead of waiting until you get there?
