Default Hello

Hi all!

I've been low carbing it (LCHF) since 2011 and my diagnosis of pre-diabetes at A1C of 6. My A1C is 5.3 now thanks to LCHF! Had a physical and my other numbers are good too, except for my hypothyroidism of course which is a work in progress.

Well, I lost more weight to a total of over 50 lbs. I suffered from carb creep, and also an emotionally trying time where I turned to comfort eating again.

Right now I'm at about 50g of carbs per day. Once a week I will have a higher carb treat. Emotionally I need to do that. It usually allows me to deal with special occasions (like birthdays) without feeling deprived.

Hello SilverTgr

I just recently returned to this board myself.

Boy do I know about carb creep. I've been knuckling down this last week and doing more testing. It's helping.

The testing is really key. You can fool your brain about the carb count sometimes but the strips don't lie.
