Default Returning yet again

Hello, I'm Tracy. I am coming back to the forums again after a long absence. I started CAD in 2002 and lost 110lbs. My weight loss plateaud, still about 60bs from my goal, and I stayed there for close to two years, still doing CAD. Then I started to slip (one of the great mysteries of my life) and gradually stated gaining weight back. I made many attempts to get back on track, both with CAD and other diets but couldn't stick to anything. Now I am back up to my top weight, all but the last 2 lbs, and really hurting. Physically and emotionally. So, I am trying again.
CAD was amazing for me when I was on it. It was the only time in my life that I was free of the constant nagging voice of my cravings. I want that back.
So, today I will have eggs for brunch, and my reward meal will be chicken, broccoli, and some sort of carb(s).
I have to focus on just this day.

Welcome back! I also began one day at a time and I hope you will join us on the Hour Power thread so we can get to know you and support your efforts.

I follow CALP and the first time I tried it I found it to be the best program I have ever followed. Since it was so easy for me to follow, I thought I would have no problem following another low carb program and jumped ship when the scale quit moving for me. I now realize that CALP was the reason I was so successful and after giving up on the other program and not resuming CALP, it took me ten years to get back on.

I have been following CALP for over two years now and just like before, it continues to be easy for me. I am positive that I will get to the point where I am satisfied with my body and CALP will be the way that I will use to maintain my weight loss!

Best of luck to you!

Hi Tracy,

I have the same story...some things we just can't explain
As you said, take it one day at a time and some days, it's one meal at a time.
The more you make the best choices for your body, the easier it gets...

take care,
Mary-Ann
