Hi

Does anyone take supplements, i.e. chromuim Co-Enzyme Q10. I know Atkins suggests these, but CC just states a Vit C supplement to reduce the carb load of eating 1 orange per day.

Any thoughts, success stories with LC + chromium supplements ?

Thanks in advance,

Allie

I'm doing the Anti X diet from the Syndrome X book, and a number of supps are recommended as a way of stabilising blood sugar, blood pressure, and controlling cravings.
Currently I'm taking Alpha Lipoic Acid with Cinnamon, Chromium, a Multivit without iron, CoQ10, and Borage Oil as tablets, and I'm eating 2 tablespoons crushed Flax Seeds daily, and using Flax Oil as a salad dressing (it's rather nice actually).
I'm finding I am controlling carb cravings very well, not sure if it's the supps or just sticking hard to the plan, but I'll carry on for a while yet. I feel very, very well, in a way I didn't when I did LC previously, although I do find the supps expensive.

Thanks Fiona,

I bought a Multi-Vit with Chromium and some Co Q10 alo, so started taking them yesterday, but after reading your post, might incorporate some flax seel oil as well, as using it as a dressing, maybe with some herbs, sounds great.

Glad you're feeling well, thats what I didn't like with Atkins, but CC I feel fine. Am making sure I'm drinking lots of water as well
